Pedalivery Rolls Strong through the Winter

•January 22, 2011 • Leave a Comment

We  Just got a delivery call from Arizona! Word must be getting out. Thanks to Kathy for choosing Pedalivery as your Portland’s Bike Delivery Service. It’s been raining so hard here that the river is swollen with runoff and debris from up-stream, it’s quite a site from atop a bridge, pausing the daily task of crossing bridges to reach here and there, navigating our city. Two deliveries to the east side today already. Also, here’s a pic of one of the new delivery trailers, hand built from reclaimed materials and jazzed up with recycled paint. Zap!

We also visited Stumptown Coffee Roasters, Voodoo Doughnuts, and Alma Chocolates. Here are some photos from the recent action!

New Delivery Specials for July 2010

live load comin thru!

We’ve had a real positive response in the past few months of delivery business and I thought I would give an update. Package and food card delivery are still in the lead for our urban service and we are creating new relationships all the time.

The bike delivery market is growing here in Portland, and companies like B-line, Pedalivery, and Portland Pedal Power are at the forefront. I saw a street car sheer off the rear-view mirror of a delivery truck as it was parked to close to the tracks while trying to make a delivery in North West Portland. This is a clear sign that the freight industry of the past has created vehicles to large and cumbersome to operate efficiently in the urban core. European cities with narrow streets and freight corridors have used bike/ trike power for generations and agree it is the best solution for rapid product delivery for what they call the final step of the trip, often the shortest and most local deliveries.

Check out our flickr page at  www.flickr.com/photos/portlandbicycle/ for an idea of all the fun we have on a daily basis. The summer is in full swing and we are excited to be growing due to good customer service reports and grand word of mouth advertising. Thanks everyone!
